The Story

Some of my favorite Arizona memories don't happen at a destination-they happen with friends.

Once a month, our neighbors gather on the Knoll for an evening of live music, laughter, and conversation around the bonfire.  As local musicians play, we're treated to one of nature's most incredible performances.  Behind us, the moon slowly rises over the Superstition Mountains while, across the valley, the sun settles into the western horizon.

This painting was inspired by those evenings.

A lone saguaro stands quietly against the glowing sky, silhouetted by the last light of day.  It's a simple scene, yet it holds so many memories of music, friendship, and gratitude for the place we've been blessed to call home.

Reflection

Some of life's richest moments aren't found on our calendars-they're found in the people who gather around us.

The seat has a way of slowing everything down.  As the light fades and conversation replaces the busyness of the day, we're reminded that joy often grows in simple places: shared stories, familiar faces, and time spent together.

Those are the moments that become the memories we carry long after the sun has set.
