The Story

There are evenings when the lake seems to hold its breath.

The colors soften, the water becomes glass, and for a few fleeting moments, it feels as though the world has stopped rushing.  Then a single splash breaks the silence. The ripples spread across the surface, catching the last light of the setting sun before everything settles into stillness once again.

This painting is about that pause - the kind of moment that asks nothing of us except to be present. It's a reminder that some of life's most beautiful memories aren't found in the big events, but in the quiet moments we almost miss.

Reflection

There are moments when creation seems to pause long enough for us to notice the One who painted it.  As the last light dances across the water and the ripples slowly fade, we're reminded that God's glory isn't only found in grand miracles-it shines through the quiet beauty of an ordinary evening.

Scripture

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands."

~Psalm 19:1
