Where We Meet

The Story

Some memories don't need grand adventures to become unforgettable.

These paintings were inspired by my sister during one of her quiet afternoons on the water in Florida.  Surrounded by lily pads, she drifted slowly through the calm, taking in the beauty that so often goes unnoticed when life is moving too fast.

As I painted, I wasn't trying to recreate a single photograph.  I wanted to capture the feeling of those moments-the peaceful rhythm of the water, the gentle movement of the lilies, and the gift of simply being present.

Although each canvas can stand on its own, they were created to tell one story together.  The space between them becomes part of the composition-much like the places where we meet the people we love, where the memories linger, and where God quietly reminds us that we are never alone.

Reflection

Sometimes the places that restore us aren't marked on a map.  They're found in a quiet afternoon, a conversation with someone we love, or the stillness that allows us to hear God's voice again.  I hope "Where We Meet" becomes one of those places for you.
