Plein Air Evenings

Some of my favorite moments as an artist happen outdoors, standing in the landscape with a brush in hand and watching the light change across the desert.

Plein air painting captures something that can’t be recreated in the studio — the shifting colors of the sky, the movement of light across the land, and the quiet beauty of being present in creation.

These paintings hold an even deeper meaning for me because many of them are painted alongside my dad. Sharing the experience of painting together, chasing the evening light, and witnessing the beauty of God’s creation makes these moments especially memorable.

Each piece in this collection is painted on location and represents a specific place, time, and moment that will never happen the same way again.
