There was a season where I felt completely overwhelmed — heavy, wrestling internally, unsure how to move forward.
“Rising” was born from that place.
This piece represents the spiritual journey so many of us walk. The bottom figure embodies surrender — the moment we reach the end of our own strength. The middle reflects the internal wrestle between head and heart. And the top figure, arms lifted, represents freedom — the peace and strength that come when we release control and allow God to lead.
The layered textures, movement, and ripples throughout the painting reflect the emotional waves we experience in growth. Nothing about transformation is linear — it swirls, it stretches, it breaks open before it becomes light.
